AAmerica®, Inc. celebrates 36 years as a producer of high quality furniture at affordable prices. A family owned company, A-America was founded by two brothers: Fred and John Rohrbach. Fred devoted his time overseas creating and maintaining key relationships with the best, quality conscious furniture manufacturers while John marketed and sold the furniture to domestic retailers throughout the U.S. Today, both brothers still actively lead the company, positioning A-America as one of the value and quality leaders in the furniture industry.
A pioneer in the industry in many ways, A-America has a tradition of evolving with changes in the furniture industry, in many cases leading the way. But to understand who A-America is, and the advantages of doing business with us, you have to go back to the beginning..... In 1973, Fred and John Rohrbach became importers of ceramics and handcrafted home décor from Vietnam. They called their company, A-America, which stands for ASIA - America. Prior to starting the company both brothers graduated from the University of Montana. During college and post graduation they were smoke jumpers for the U.S. Forest Service. Both served their country with honor as John was in the Army and Fred was with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam. With the fall of Saigon, Vietnam in 1975, Fred was one of the last Americans to evacuate via a helicopter from a rooftop in Saigon on April 29th 1975, the last day. Fred’s knowledge of Vietnam and Asia has been the advantage point for A-America to become your solid wood furniture source today. In 1975 there was a void in the market. Their expertise in importing, knowledge of Asian countries as well as their understanding of various cultures gave us a huge advantage over other importers to fast track forward. A-America became one of the first importers of oak furniture from Taiwan and later became one of the first U.S. companies to import furniture from China with American’s styles and quality standards. This is the heritage of the company known today as A-America that is now headquartered out of the Seattle area. Today...

But over the years, our company has extended our product offerings in formal dining room, bedroom and collections. A-America has been known as THE leader in the casual dining category. Today, our designs have evolved from the original nostalgic solid oak tables and chairs to fashion forward styles and finishes. We are the ONE SOURCE for beautifully crafted furniture made of sold cherry, hickory, birch, maple, alder, pine, hemlock ash, oak, and mahogany. Our products have “30% Over Built & 30% Under Priced” standard. A-America's current strength comes from over 36 years of experience doing business and establishing key relationships with the best manufacturers throughout Asia. This has enabled the company to provide our retail dealers with Quality, Design, Features, Value and great Service. To support the company's growth over the years, A-America employs a knowledgeable, service driven customer care staff, an experienced Sales Team, Asia manufacturing and full time quality control staff overseas. We are well stocked in our domestic warehouse, dedicated to quick ship delivery in Tukwila, Washington. A-America has permanent showrooms in High Point, North Carolina and in the World Market Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. |
